me as a 12 year old: yeah, women are just objectively more beautiful. like its just true. women are always more attractive than men, thems the facs. it is nature, god’s will, if you may. i am heterosexual.
You don’t have to lose weight to be trans and transition.
You don’t have to work out to be trans and transition.
You don’t have to eat a certain way to be trans and transition.
You don’t have to fit a certain body type to be trans and transition.
Fat is beautiful.
Trans is beautiful.
Omfg thank you TT_TT
I got people saying I “should loose weight first before doing any chest surgery for the best results” and that made me worry that not being able to due to my life situation would somehow make things horrible on that part. TT_TT
I needed this positivity T^T~
I’m glad this message found you!
Absolutely do not try to lose weight before top surgery. It’s so fucking ridiculous that people recommend that. Actual doctors who should know better are so fatphobic that they’ll give you this shitty advice.
Almost 100% of people who lose weight will gain it back plus more within five years. That weight regain will affect your top surgery. I was lucky. I like the way my chest looks after I regained a bunch of weight. But I can’t deny that it looks like I have (small) boobs again and for some people, that is going to be dysphoria inducing.
You want chest surgery when you’ve been at a weight that has been relatively stable for some time. That way, there won’t be any surprises down the road with how your chest will look when your weight changes.
But if your weight doesn’t remain stable for some reason, don’t despair! Some of us may just keep gaining more weight at a greater rate than the average person (everybody gains weight as they get older, but some of us have medical issues which cause us to gain it a lot faster). If you need top surgery, then get top surgery. Don’t put it off if you don’t need to. Dysphoria is a serious medical concern and it should be managed as soon as you possibly can.
The gatekeepers in Finland don’t let you on hormones or surgeries if you’re over a certain BMI limit. This is at least for testestorone and mastectomy. So while I love this post, I literally have to lose weight to transition (after jumping through the other hoops, *if* I manage that).
uuugh I’m so sorry. I forget how shitty places in Europe can be for transitioning.
